The Council is the governing body for the administration of the Dojo. The Council does not make decisions on the technical aspects of the art as that is the sole province of the Chief Instructor. The Council aids in the administrative direction of the Dojo and the Admission of returning students who have halted their training and are seeking reinstatement in the Dojo. The Council consists of five senior members of the Dojo and the Chief Instructor. The Council acts very similarly to a Board of Directors with the Chief Instructor acting as a tie breaker in case there is a tie vote. In this way the council frees the Chief Instructor from many administrative duties and allows senior members of the Dojo to have a voice in the administration of the Dojo to ensure the smooth operation of the Dojo.
