The Okinawan karate -do researches Traditional Goju-Ryu Karate to foster better understanding of the Do or way of Martial Arts.

Our mission is to spread the traditional teachings of Chojun Miyagi Sensei (who founded Goju-Ryu Karate) and to promulgate traditional karate and the humanistic growth it provides.

What does Kenkyu-Kai mean?

Kenkyu-Kai means literally research club. As an aspirant in traditional Karate the Karate-ka(karate student) embarks on a lifelong journey for self study not only physically but also mentally and at higher levels spiritually.

• Research on Self-Defense and Bunkai (Kata applications)
